Charlotte Hafner
Charlotte is the local IMACS coordinator in Frankfurt. She is currently enrolled in Goethe University's Filmkultur - Archivierung, Programmierung, Präsentation graduate programme. She is also head of film programming at the Korean Film Festival Frankfurt, and has in the past also worked as a programmer for the Berlinale Forum and the Deutsches Filminstitut Filmmuseum (DFF). Her research concerns contemporary South Korean cinema, feminist movements in South Korea, Japanese cinema (with a particular focus on the Golden Age, as well as the 60s New Wave and 90s New New Wave), fan cultures in East Asia, and communist and working class cinema. Charlotte has in past semesters taught tutorials at Goethe University about the films of Akira Kurosawa and the films of Studio Ghibli.
